Twice, I froze on stage.
I know what it’s like to have something to say — and struggle to say it.

I’m Dr Mark Cox: doctor, qualified coach and founder of Orli. I used to dread public speaking. But building a business meant learning to explain something I cared about, in a way other people could care about too.

Pitching Orli became my practice ground. I developed my own approach, went on to win multiple pitch competitions, and began to enjoy the moments I once feared.

Since then, I’ve given talks at Amazon and Just Eat, spoken in front of 1,000 people, and reached thousands of children through Orli workshops in schools.

Those are very different rooms. The challenge is the same: find the story, make it clear, and give people a reason to listen. That’s what I now help others do — with space to practise and a way of speaking that feels like them.
